How your Local Government operational works supervisors training will work...

Due to the nature of your work, this training is available to you as in-house workshops designed just for your Council. 

Where possible, assessments will be conducted during the workshops with only practical activities to be completed between sessions – no exams, no essays.

Have your Supervision work experience credited towards this qualification.  Through a simple, friendly process, you may find that you can provide work samples and shorten the number of assessments that you have to complete. 

Step 2 – Participate in Training to match the units you still need to complete.  Gain new skills and practical strategies.  Training options:

  • In-house company training - Training, Assessments and Unit choice electives can be designed to specifically meet the needs of companies (minimum numbers needed).

To successfully complete this Civil Supervision Certificate, you should have

All 12 units must be completed to gain this qualification.

How long does it take to complete?
6 weeks – 18 months depending upon your previous experience and how much time you can allocate to completing your qualification. All the resources and assessments are available to you 24/7, so you can get in and complete as fast as you want.

Can my previous experience be recognized towords this qualification (Recognized Prior Learning)? “If you are doing senior management roles in your job, then don’t write off your skills – consider getting them recognised.” If you have enough experience and can demonstrate your skills and knowledge, then you not have to complete either certain units in the course or even not complete any of the training or assessments for the course. Can my previous studies be used towards this qualification?
If you have recently completed studies at any Certificate IV or Diploma level, (within the last 5 years approx) then we may be able to use some of the units that you studied as part of this qualification. You will need to send us a copy of your results showing the units studied – include this with your enrolment form. If in doubt, send it anyway and we will check. Any studies that we cannot straight credited towards this qualification, may be used for Recognition of Prior Learning, to support your understanding of the topic.
