How to Log on




Step 1:
Go your Members Section of the Website by clicking ‘Log on’ which is located under the ‘Members’ Tab (This will open your ‘Members’ section in a new tab)




Step 2:
Enter your Username (eg. 090203ms) and Password (eg. P@ssword) into the ‘Login’ panel located on the right hand side of your screen. If you have already previously logged on and changed your password please skip step 3.


Step 3a:
Upon your first log you will be forced to change your password to contain: an Uppercase letter, a Lowercase letter, an ampersand, a number and needs be 8 characters long. For example you may wish to use your number plate with an Uppercase letter, a Lowercase letter, a dash in between and an exclamation mark at the end (Lnt-176!).




Step 3b:
A notice will then come up ‘Password has been changed’, click continue to proceed. Make sure you save your password somewhere, your workshop folder would be a useful place.

How to Get your Assessment Tasks

(Assessment Tasks are also handed out at Workshops)

Step 1:
Repeat Steps 1-3 from ‘How to Log on’ Located above









Step 2:
Click on the course category you are completing Eg. Local Government or Business.




Step 3:
Click on the Qualification you are completing Eg. ‘LGA50404 Diploma of Local Government (Operational Works)’.




Step 4:
Click on the topic for the unit you wish to get the Assessment for. Eg. ‘BSBWOR501A-Manage personal work priorities and professional development’.







Step 5:
Under ‘Formal Assessment’ Either:Click ‘Download Formal Assessment’ orView tasks online by clicking on individual tasks. Eg. ‘P171’ or Task 91.






Step 6 :
Create a folder on your computer for each unit and save your assessment answers there.

How to Submit Your Assessments and Evidence for Marking

NB. Ensure that you keep a copy of all evidence and assessments submitted.  Due to legislative requirements, all assessments and evidence submitted to us must be kept by us for up to seven years; we therefore cannot return evidence to you.

Submitting Electronically – (Our preference –wherever possible)

 

How to upload electronically:

1. Complete Steps 1-3 from ‘How to Log on’ and Steps 1-6 from ‘How to get Your Assessment Tasks’

2. Complete all assessment tasks under the Formal Assessment area within each unit.

3. You can upload documents as you complete parts of your task and as you gather evidence of your task. You do not need to wait till you have completed the whole task to start uploading documents. To Upload:

a. Click the appropriate ‘Task’ Eg. ‘Project 31’ or ‘Task 91’

b. Scroll down the page to ‘Submission Draft’ area.

c. Click ‘Choose File ’ and attach the appropriate document

d. Now click Upload this file

4. Submitting your assessment for marking:

a. When you have completed all components for the task and have uploaded all evidence documents then click on ‘Send for marking’.

b. On the next page the message will display:

  • Once the assignment is sent for marking, you will no longer be able to delete or attach file(s). Do you want to continue?

c. Click Yes if you are satisfied with the attached document/documents or No to return to previous page

5. The documents should now be sent to your trainer for marking. Please call Global Training Institute for any additional help.
