Exciting News! The Indigenous Land Corporation now has an agreement with FarmReady where they will sponsor Indigenous Land Managers for approved courses.  This means that your Board or Committee may be eligible for up to 4-8 days of sponsored training with us till June 2011- Register Now.  Training is available with us, Australia Wide, in Governance, Financial Management, Strategic Planning, developing or improving Businesses…

We apply for ILC to sponsor you and we come to you for the training.  This is similar to the Governance and Financial Management Training Programs that Shane, Russell or Warwick ran with many of you in 2008.  If your group wants to get something happening, then this is the perfect opportunity.  Groups in Mitchell, Kowanyama, Cooktown, Weipa and Pormpuraaw have already booked training with us under this sponsorship.

This sponsored training is available for groups that have rural property, land trusts, PBC’s, ILC properties, or fit the following criteria - Indigenous individuals, communities, corporations or trusts that are involved in the management decisions for Indigenous lands that are zoned for rural purposes, or outside existing control plan areas, if the land is owned, managed, controlled or operated by them.

So, if you would like us to come to you and do Governance, Finance, Leadership, Management or Profit Making Training, then just fill out the Fax and we will give you a call.  Also if you know people who are land managers, please let them know or put their name on the fax and we will contact them.

“Excellent.  Made me realise why I got on the Board in the first place. Reminded me to get tougher about asking questions until we get the answers we need to make decisions.  Workshops are a MUST DO for any organisation annually!” Cheryl Buchanan Kooma Traditional Owners
